An iPad running iPadOS 18 or later. Apple Pencil is optional; every tool works with touch.
Tap the blue plus button, then Cube. Drag the handles to move, turn and scale it. Switch to Points, Edges or Faces at the bottom to edit the shape, and use the Mesh menu for extrude, bevel, subdivide and the other operations. Quick help under Settings walks through the basics on the iPad.
Open Paint, select the object, then Fill it or pick a brush and paint straight onto the surface. Layers, texture size and the eraser live in the Paint panel.
Open Animate. Save poses on the timeline, set keys on modifiers and objects, or use Perform to record movement live. Curves opens the graph editor for anything that has keys.
On your iPad, inside the app. Projects opens the gallery. Settings has Save a version, which keeps an editable snapshot you can return to.
Exports are written to the Files app under Form Wright, Exports. The share sheet can also send them to another app, AirDrop or Photos for videos.
USDZ and GLB carry supported materials and animation. OBJ sharing includes its material and texture files in a ZIP. STL and 3MF are for 3D printing, with millimetre dimensions. Images and video render from the viewport.
USDZ, GLB, OBJ and STL models, plus images for textures and video or audio for reference on the timeline. Very dense models are reduced on import so they stay editable.
Only through your own iPad settings. Form Wright has no account and no server. iCloud or iPadOS backups follow your device settings.
Only for two optional features: handheld camera movement, which tracks the iPad as you move it, and room scanning on iPads with LiDAR. Denying access leaves every modeling tool working.
Room scanning appears only on iPads with supported LiDAR hardware, such as iPad Pro models. It is hidden on other iPads rather than shown as broken.
Choosing Save Video in the share sheet adds the rendered export to your photo library, which needs your permission. Save to Files does not.
Use Mesh, Reduce or Remesh on very dense objects, keep texture sizes at 1K or 2K, and close other apps. Lighter meshes paint and animate more smoothly.
Reopen the app; the gallery and Save a version keep your latest saved state. Then email support with what you were doing. Diagnostic logs stay on your iPad and are only shared if you attach them.
Delete projects in the gallery, manage exports in Files, and delete the app to remove its local data. Photos items, backups and copies you shared are managed separately.
