FormWright 3D has no account, no analytics and no server. Your projects stay on your iPad unless you choose to share them.
FormWright 3D is a 3D creation app by Don Allen III. It does not require an account and does not send your projects, imported media, camera images or usage activity to a developer-operated service. The app contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDKs.
Projects, textures, imported images and audio, exports, preferences and diagnostic logs are stored on your device. Diagnostic logs may include project names and information about app operations. You choose which files to import and which exports or diagnostics to share.
Optional handheld camera controls and supported room scanning use the camera and motion sensors. Camera processing happens on the device. When Save camera video is enabled, recording a camera take also saves rear-camera footage locally. You can view it as Camera Only or behind your 3D objects in Mixed Reality and include it in exported videos. Camera footage is not uploaded to the developer. Room scanning can create a model that you save in a project. If you choose Save Video in the system share sheet, the app may request permission to add the rendered export to Photos. These permissions are not required for ordinary touch modeling.
Optional MoCap uses Apple's on-device body, face or hand tracking to create animated joint controllers. Face processing uses head and eye motion and expression measurements, such as jaw opening and smiles, only to animate your work. Camera and face images and raw expression measurements are transient and are discarded when capture ends; they are not saved or shared with the developer or third parties. If you keep a capture, the derived joint animation stays in your project until you delete those layers or the project, and can be included in exports you choose to share. Imported motion videos are processed locally without uploading or copying the source movie into the project. MoCap does not identify people or record audio.
When you enable Record voice, the app requests microphone access to record dialogue and director notes alongside your animation. Voice clips are stored locally with your timeline and can be included when you export a video with Include sound enabled. Recordings are not uploaded to the developer. You can mute or remove clips and revoke microphone access in iPad Settings.
Using Share, Files, Photos or email can send selected content to the destination you choose. iPadOS backups, iCloud and other file providers may store your files according to your device settings and those services' policies. FormWright 3D does not control those services.
You can delete projects in the gallery and manage exported files in Files. Shared texture resources and local caches may remain after a project is deleted. Deleting the app removes its local app data; exports, Photos items, backups and copies you shared must be managed separately. You can change camera, microphone and Photos access in iPad Settings.
FormWright 3D does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. There is no account, sign-in or communication feature inside the app.
If you contact Don Allen III, your email address, message and any attachments you choose to include are used to respond to your request. Do not include private project files unless you intend to share them for support.
This policy describes the current version of the app. Material changes to data handling will be reflected in an updated policy on this page and inside the app under Settings, Privacy policy.
